Library cards are free to residents of Texas. Proof of a current Texas address must be shown with at least one of the following:

  • A valid government-issued ID with current address or;
  • A government-issued photo ID and a utility bill or lease agreement with current address

Juvenile Library Cards

Juvenile library cards are issued to children 17 years and under. A family member must sign the application and proof of current address must be shown. A family member can be a:

  • Aunt
  • Grandparent
  • Legal parent or guardian
  • Step-parent
  • Uncle

Non-Resident Cards

Non-Resident cards are available for a $30 annual fee. This card allows you to check out 5 items at a time and provides access to library computers.

Internet-Only Cards

Internet-only cards provide access to the library’s computers. Internet-only cards cannot be used to borrow materials, request items from other libraries, access online databases, or checkout laptops.

Patron Privacy

In accordance with state law, the library cannot give out patron information.

After you sign up for a library card, there are many tools to manage your account online; go to the Victoria Public Library Catalog page and login with your library card number and PIN.
