The City is making significant progress on beautification, fixing roads and other goals outlined in the 2035 Comprehensive Plan, according to the latest update on the 2021-2023 Action Agenda.
The action agenda is a set of concrete goals that align with the big-picture initiatives described in the 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
The update for the second and third quarters of fiscal year 2022 highlights achievements such as:
- Rehabilitation of Airline Road, Woodway and Bridle Ridge
- Completion of the Green Ribbon Program beautification project in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation
- Breaking ground on the Riverside Park duck pond
- Purchase of land for future public safety headquarters
Overall, 21% of the items in the action agenda are fully complete, and 50% are complete with some ongoing work.
“Complete with some ongoing work” applies to projects that will never fully be finished, such as revitalizing parks or reducing violent crime. These projects are considered to be complete with some ongoing work if the City has met a specific set of short-term goals outlined for that project.
