Municipal Court clerk named Certified Court Clerk II

City of Victoria Municipal Court clerk David Baker has earned the title of Certified Court Clerk II from the Texas Court Clerks Association (TCCA) in conjunction with the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center (TMCEC), the Texas Municipal Courts Association (TMCA) and Texas State University - San Marcos. To earn this certification, a candidate must complete the requirements for Level I and Level II of the TCCA’s Municipal Court Clerk Certification Program, which include continuing education and testing on topics such as rights and roles, municipal court processes, criminal codes, bond forfeitures, minor defendants, financial management, court records, legal research and technology fundamentals. Baker has served the City of Victoria Municipal Court since May 2021 and earned his Level I TCCA clerk certification in 2022. He previously held the titles of Municipal Court clerk I and Municipal Court clerk II before being elevated to his current role of Municipal Court clerk III based on his credentials.
