[ARCHIVED] City of Victoria closings for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving meal with turkey, stuffing and traditional sides.

All nonemergency city offices, including the Victoria Public Library, will close Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving holidays. Riverside Golf Course will close Thursday and reopen Friday.

Holiday schedule for Environmental Services pickup:

Garbage normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Yard waste and recycling normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Regular Friday routes will be collected on Nov. 27.

Residents are reminded to always leave at least 5 feet of clearance between the cart and other obstacles, including additional carts, to accommodate the automated pickup system.

The landfill and brush sites will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26.
