Residents will have a chance to share feedback about their experiences with drainage in Victoria and provide direction for the forthcoming storm drainage master plan by responding to a brief survey.
The City is in the process of updating its storm drainage master plan, a document that provides recommendations for drainage and infrastructure improvements that align with residents’ needs and will help to support the city’s continued growth.
“Including data about the types of changes residents want to see is an important component of the master planning process,” said City Engineer/Public Works Director Ken Gill. “Residents’ responses will help us to ensure our master plan reflects our community’s goals and is based on up-to-date information about drainage conditions in Victoria.”
Residents can respond to the survey by visiting www.victoriatx.gov/masterplans. The survey includes questions about residents’ priorities and past experiences with drainage and flooding, and it also includes an opportunity to provide general feedback. Data and commentary collected during the survey process will be incorporated into the final master plan, which is expected to be completed in the spring.
The City of Victoria Public Works has contracted with CivilTech Engineering to update the storm drainage master plan. The City will provide further opportunities for public involvement and feedback throughout the development process.
