[ARCHIVED] Utility Billing Office resumes normal billing practices after winter storm

Utility Billing Office exterior

The City of Victoria Utility Billing Office is lifting its emergency billing policies that were put in place to accommodate residents who were impacted by the February winter freeze.

Starting April 1, the Utility Billing Office will resume charging its usual $25 service fee to connect or disconnect water service.

Also in April, the Utility Billing Office will resume charging penalty fees for past-due water bills. Residents are encouraged to pay overdue bills or contact the Utility Billing Office to set up a payment plan as soon as possible to avoid late fees or service interruption.

Residents can pay water, sewer or garbage bills by visiting www.victoriatx.gov and clicking “Utility Billing”; by visiting the Utility Billing Office lobby or drive-thru at 700 N. Main St.; by using the drop boxes at H-E-B, 6106 N. Navarro St., or the City of Victoria, 700 N. Main St; by mailing to 700 Main Center, Suite 110, Victoria, TX 77901; or by phone at 361-485-3400.

The Utility Billing Office will close April 2 in observance of Good Friday. Residents who wish to make payments April 2 can do so online or by using the drop boxes.

Residents whose February water usage was higher than normal may request an adjusted bill. Upon request, the Utility Billing Office will average residents’ December and January water usage to determine the February usage amount.
