Keep Victoria Beautiful launches Business Beautification Award

PHOTO: Winners of Keep Victoria Beautiful’s monthly Business Beautification Award will receive a traveling yard sign to display in front of their businesses.

Residents who’d like to recognize Victoria businesses that go the extra mile to keep their properties clean and attractive can submit nominations for Keep Victoria Beautiful’s new monthly Business Beautification Award.

Portrait of Christy Youker“Commercial beautification is not only good for business; it’s good for Victoria as a whole,” said City of Victoria beautification coordinator Christy Youker. “We want to encourage businesses to help keep Victoria beautiful, and residents can help us by nominating businesses that deserve to be recognized.”

To view the judging criteria and submit a nomination, visit www.victoriatx.gov/kvb and click on “Beautification Awards.”

The Keep Victoria Beautiful board will choose a different business to receive the award each month. The winning business will receive a traveling yard sign to display during the month. The business will also be recognized at a City Council meeting.
