[ARCHIVED] Most of Riverside Park reopens

Map showing Riverside Park with closures at Fox Bend, Grover's Bend and John F. Lee Drive

The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation on Friday reopened most of Riverside Park after the park had been closed because of flooding along the Guadalupe River.

Some areas of the park are still closed because of a buildup of dirt and debris from the flooding. The following areas of the park remain closed:

  • Fox Bend
  • Grover’s Bend
  • John F. Lee Drive

Parks & Recreation staff expect to reopen the park fully by Tuesday. This plan is subject to change as staff continue to monitor the river forecast.

For more information, contact Parks & Recreation at 361-485-3200.
